Amnesty for Instruments
Jump on the band wagon to “PLAY it FORWARD”
Got instruments? Strings, woodwinds, brass? Have they just become dust collectors? Taking up valuable closet, attic or garage space? Then this program is for YOU! Amnesty for Instruments will accept donations of previously owned musical instruments of all types (except pianos and drums due to storage restrictions).
This program is a partnership between the Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra and the Burbank Arts in Education Foundation (BAEF) to get instruments back to where they’re needed most – in the hands of the students of our community who can’t wait to start making music of their own.
This program is designed to accept any/all instrument donations but please be aware that the BAEF will have professional musicians inspect the instrument to advise if it can be refurbished enough to get it in working order or if it is beyond repair. On the chance the instrument is beyond repair, please be advised BAEF will sell the instrument and apply the proceeds towards purchasing additional instruments for the school district.
In either case, this is a tax-deductible donation and you will receive a valuation form to use for tax deduction purposes at the time of your donation. Please contact lisadyson21@yahoo.com to make your donation. You can rest assured your donation will be used with care and you can be proud you’ve passed the gift of music on to a new generation! Don’t miss your chance to
“Play it forward!
